According to Iraf, these individuals residing in Pakistan say that despite the full completion of the legal procedures of their immigration cases under the P1 and P2 pathways, their transfer process to the U.S. has been halted for months.
The protesters warned about the risk of forced deportation from Pakistan and emphasized that they do not have security in Pakistan and at any moment may be arrested and returned to Afghanistan; a land where, due to their cooperation with foreign forces, their lives are under serious threat.
Many of these families are struggling with poverty and despair, and reports indicate that some members of this group have previously been forcibly deported to Afghanistan.
The protesters have called on the U.S. government and international organizations to take responsibility and remove their cases from suspension in order to save them from the current “silent crisis.”
