Afghanistan Champions League Season Six Opens with Abu Muslim Farah vs Sarsabz Yashlar

The sixth season of the Afghanistan Champions League gets underway in Kabul on Thursday evening, with defending champions Abu Muslim Farah facing Sarsabz Yashlar of Faryab in the opening match.

As reported by IRAF, the sixth edition of Afghanistan’s top football competition officially kicks off on Thursday, September 10, with the opening fixture scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Kabul time.

The match, to be played at the football stadium in Kabul, will see Abu Muslim Farah begin its title defense against Sarsabz Yashlar Faryab. Abu Muslim has won the championship in the past two seasons and will be seeking to maintain its dominance in the new campaign.

The season will be contested in a home-and-away format, with the competition scheduled to run through November 21. The participating clubs will face a demanding schedule as they compete for the championship over the course of the season.

Two newcomers, Ariana Khost and Omar Zawak Loi Shindand, have also joined the competition this season, bringing changes to the lineup of participating clubs.
