Taliban Retaliatory Attack on Pakistani Positions in Nangarhar and Kunar

Tehran-IRAF- Tolo News said in a post on X, citing Afghan security sources, that hours earlier Taliban forces had begun retaliatory operations against Pakistani military positions in Durbaba District of Nangarhar Province, near the Durand Line. So far, no official Pakistani sources have responded to this report.

Radio Hurriyat also said that forces of the 201st Khalid bin Walid Corps, under the command of Mawlawi Wahidullah Mohammadi, announced that at the same time, units of the corps’ First Border Brigade, as part of the continuation of “Operation Radd al-Zulm,” targeted a Pakistani army armored tank with a missile in Dangam District of Kunar Province. No further details of these attacks have yet been released.

Recent Pakistani airstrikes on various areas of Afghanistan, including Kandahar Airport and fuel storage facilities belonging to the private airline KAM Air, have resulted in the deaths of civilians and extensive damage.

A Taliban spokesperson described these attacks as a clear violation of humanitarian principles and an act of aggression against Afghanistan, warning that a reciprocal response by Afghans would follow.

The Taliban Ministry of Defense also stated that the group’s forces have targeted strategic military centers and facilities of the Pakistani army.

This situation has heightened regional tensions and intensified concerns about the expansion of the conflict and the growing suffering of civilians.
