Students whose residency documents are incomplete or face administrative problems can continue their education in Iran if at least one of their parents holds valid residency documents, a provincial official said.
As reported by IRAF, Seyyed Jafar Seydabadi, Director General of the Department of Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Affairs in Razavi Khorasan Province, said on Tuesday morning, September 15, that the registration and enrollment of foreign students is being carried out in accordance with legal procedures, official directives, and existing regulations.
Seydabadi said that under the latest directive issued by Iran’s Center for Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Affairs, students whose residency documents are incomplete or face problems may continue their education in the new academic year provided that one of their parents holds legal residency documents.
He expressed hope that implementation of the directive would enable eligible students to continue their education and allow qualified families to pursue the registration process for their children.
At the same time, Seydabadi stressed the need to comply with legal requirements during the registration process, saying that issues concerning the education of foreign students must be reviewed and addressed based on the relevant directives.
The registration and continued education of Afghan migrant students in Iran, particularly for families facing problems with residency documents, has become a major concern for migrant families as the new academic year approaches.
