According to Iraf, the Pakistani official, speaking at the weekly press briefing of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry and responding to a question from RIA Novosti, said:
“We are closely monitoring the dialogue process between the U.S. and China… We support Beijing’s involvement in mediation efforts to resolve differences between Tehran and Washington.”
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, traveled to China on an official visit from May 13 to 15. His meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping took place today, and the two leaders are scheduled to hold further discussions over a working lunch on Friday.
Before the trip, Trump stated that he expected positive outcomes from the visit and intends to hold extensive talks with the Chinese leader regarding the resolution of issues related to Iran.
