Tehran-IRAF- citing AVA News Agency, Ayatollah Salehi Modarres, head of the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan, issued a message on the occasion of the announcement of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei’s leadership, describing the decision as important and reassuring in the current sensitive conditions of the Islamic world.
The text of the message reads as follows:
“In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The tragedy of the martyrdom of the Guardian of the Muslims of the world, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (may his soul rest in peace), at the hands of the criminals of this era, caused deep sorrow and concern throughout the Islamic world. According to the noble principles of the sacred religion of Islam, the administration of the affairs of Muslim nations and the Islamic Republic must be under the leadership of a powerful jurist who is aware of the time and circumstances, courageous, and steadfast.
The selection of the righteous successor of the martyred leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, as the leader of the Islamic Republic system at this sensitive time has provided reassurance to the mourners of that late leader.
We hope that this worthy selection will bring goodness, blessings, and righteousness to the Islamic Ummah and further elevate the word of truth within the awakened consciences of humanity.”
Earlier, Mohammad Akbari, deputy of the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan, also issued a statement declaring that the greatest religious and political figure in the Islamic world—a wise Islamic jurist aware of the times, a courageous leader, a prudent figure, and a tireless fighter—was martyred as a result of aggressive attacks by the United States and the criminal Israeli regime. He stated that this tragic incident wounded the hearts of hundreds of millions of Muslims.
He emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei sought the restoration of the dignity of Muslims and believed that achieving this great aspiration depended on the unity of Muslims. In pursuit of this goal, he worked tirelessly throughout his life and consistently defended and supported the oppressed people of Palestine.
Akbari stressed that the great martyr Ayatollah Khamenei was not merely a distinguished personality but a radiant idea, an inspiring school of thought, and a luminous intellectual path. Undoubtedly, millions of faithful and devoted people will continue along the righteous path of that martyred leader.
Various segments of the Afghan population, both inside the country and abroad, have condemned the attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime and expressed support for Iran. Afghan migrants living in Iran also issued a statement yesterday emphasizing that the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei (may he rest in peace) will lead to the collapse of the foundations of global arrogance.
Additionally, a group of scholars, seminarians, students, and Afghan migrants residing in Iran released a statement condemning the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei and offering condolences to the Islamic Ummah and the people of Iran over this loss.
