As reported by Iraf, Akbar Kazemi has been confirmed as the all-time leading scorer of the Afghanistan national futsal team with 50 international goals, according to official statistics released by the Afghanistan Futsal page, as the national squad steps up preparations for the upcoming Thailand International Futsal Tournament.
The newly released rankings place Kazemi at the top of Afghanistan’s all-time scoring list, underlining his contribution to the national team’s attacking success over the years.
Mehran Gholami is second with 26 goals, followed by Reza Hosseinpour with 22. Farzad Mahmoudi has scored 21 goals, while Hamidreza Hosseini rounds out the top five with 20.
Seyed Hossein Mousavi occupies sixth place with 18 goals. Omid Ahmadi has recorded 14 goals, Mehdi Norouzi 13, Ali Amiri 12, and Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini completes the top 10 with nine goals.
The rankings are based on official international match records compiled by the Afghanistan Futsal page and reflect players’ goal-scoring achievements for the senior national team.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s national futsal team is continuing its training camp under Serbian head coach Dejan Dedović ahead of the Thailand International Futsal Tournament.
The competition will feature Afghanistan alongside hosts Thailand, Russia, Vietnam and New Zealand, providing the team with its first official outing under Dedović’s leadership.
The tournament is expected to offer an early assessment of Afghanistan’s progress under the new coaching staff while giving the team valuable international experience ahead of future regional and continental competitions.
