According to Iraf, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in response to a letter expressing affection and condolences from a group of grassroots population activists on the occasion of the martyrdom of the great leader of the Islamic Revolution (may God sanctify his noble soul), referred to the issue of population growth and its relationship with the power and civilization of the Islamic Iran, and emphasized the increasing efforts of grassroots population activists and the promotion of a culture of childbearing.

Greetings and thanks for the expression of affection and sense of responsibility of the devoted activists in the field of population.
Among the valuable achievements of the Third Sacred Defense and the immense blessing of the unparalleled uprising of the nation, which has become evident to all, is the emergence of Iran at the level of a great and influential power. Undoubtedly, the continuation of this situation and reaching a more desirable level is directly related to the issue of population. The issue of the necessity of population increase is sometimes viewed from the perspective of compensating for deficiencies caused by certain past policies; however, beyond that, through the serious and definitive pursuit of correct policies of population increase, the great nation of Iran will be able, in the future, to experience major roles and strategic leaps, taking significant steps toward the creation of a new Islamic-Iranian civilization. Therefore, the growing efforts of grassroots population activists and the promotion of a culture of childbearing can have a significant impact in securing this #bright_future.
On the other hand, this matter has been one of the most important concerns of our martyred great leader, may God elevate his rank, who emphasized it in many sessions, interactions, and public and private meetings, and it is still considered one of the most strategic issues of the system. It is hoped that your sincere efforts, under the blessings of the prayers of our master, may God hasten his reappearance, will lead to fruitful results, God willing.
