Tehran- IRAF- Esma’il Baghaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote in a message on the social media platform X regarding what he described as the criminal aggression of the United States and Israel in deliberately targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure:
“The criminal aggression of the United States and Israel against the Iranian nation has entered a dangerous new phase with deliberate attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure. These strikes on fuel storage facilities amount to intentional chemical warfare against the Iranian people.”
“By targeting fuel depots, the aggressors have released hazardous and toxic substances into the air. This crime directly poisons people’s lives, destroys the environment, and endangers the lives of millions. The consequences of this environmental and humanitarian disaster will not remain confined within Iran’s borders.”
“These actions simultaneously constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.”
