According to Iraf, on Thursday, 24 Ordibehesht, the first season of Afghanistan’s Futsal First Division saw two crucial matches as teams vied to improve their standings.
In the first match, Nasim FC Kabul triumphed over Yaran Omar Balkh with a thrilling 6–5 victory in one of the highest-scoring games of the season. Nosrat Hosseini of Nasim FC Kabul was named the player of the match for his outstanding performance.
In the second encounter, Shaheen Parwan, who had entered the week with a win, was held to a 3–3 draw by Shikposhan Nimroz. Ramesh Ghiyasi from Shaheen Parwan earned the player of the match accolade for his crucial efforts in securing the draw.
The league features six teams: Nasim FC Kabul, Shikposhan Nimroz, Isar Herat, Yuwali Baghlan, Shaheen Parwan, and Yaran Noor Balkh. The competition is conducted in a round-robin format, with the top two teams at the end of the season earning promotion to Afghanistan’s Futsal Premier League.
According to the Afghanistan Football Federation, the league aims to provide a structured pathway for team development and strengthen futsal infrastructure across the provinces.
Matches will continue in Kabul in the coming days, with teams battling to improve their positions in the league standings.
