According to Iraf, the inaugural season of the Afghanistan First Division Futsal League, which began on Tuesday, May 12 in Kabul, resumed today with teams competing for valuable points and a chance to qualify for the country’s Premier Futsal League.
In the first match of the day, Shaheen Parwan delivered a solid performance to defeat Yaran Omar Balkh 3–1.
The organizing committee named Najibullah Naeemi as the player of the match for his key role in guiding his team to victory.
In the second fixture, Isar Herat — who had already won their opening game 5–1 — produced another dominant display, crushing Yowali Baghlan 9–0.
Sadiq Faqiri of Isar Herat was selected as the best player of the match after playing a major role in his side’s emphatic win.
The tournament features six teams: Nasim FC Kabul, Shikpooshan Nimroz, Isar Herat, Yowali Baghlan, Shaheen Parwan, and Yaran Noor Balkh. The competition is being held in a round-robin format, with the top two teams at the end of the season earning promotion to the Afghanistan Premier Futsal League.
Officials from the Afghanistan Football Federation said the league aims to create a clear pathway for club development and strengthen futsal structures across the provinces.
The matches will continue in Kabul over the coming days, with teams facing crucial fixtures as they seek to secure their place in the standings.
