Tehran-IRAF- Durrani wrote in a note on the social media platform X that despite the fact that the Israeli regime had penetrated Iran’s security structure, it still remains a mystery why Ayatollah Khamenei chose to remain in his official residence/office. Nevertheless, he emphasized that one thing is clear: the martyred leader demonstrated a model of leadership from the front for his people, something the Iranian nation should be proud of and fight for.
Durrani further wrote: Secondly, Iran has shattered the myth of the invincibility of Israel’s “Iron Dome” and the military power of the United States, as international media—despite self‑censorship—have acknowledged significant damage to their military infrastructure.
Thirdly, disruption in energy supplies from the Persian Gulf region has global consequences, which is not favorable for President Trump.
Fourthly, the ambiguous stance of the Gulf countries regarding the status of U.S. bases on their soil and Washington’s use of them has raised many questions about the credibility of these countries as trustworthy neighbors. Israel has also used the airspace of these countries to launch aircraft and missile attacks on Iran, which automatically draws these Arab states into the ongoing war.
Durrani concluded: Whatever the outcome of the war, one thing has become clear—the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) appears to be waiting for its tombstone to be written by the Gulf countries that support the war.
