Tehran- IRAF- in a message addressed to President Masoud Pezeshkian, UN Secretary-General António Guterres extended his “sincere congratulations” and wished the people of Iran progress, peace, and prosperity.
He emphasized that national days serve as reminders of the often challenging journeys of nations and reflect the historical and cultural identity of countries.
In another part of his message, referring to Iran’s position in the region and the world, the UN Secretary-General underscored the importance of multilateral cooperation among countries in addressing global challenges. He expressed hope that constructive engagement between Iran and the United Nations would continue in order to strengthen peace, development, and international cooperation.
The message comes at a time when Iran, as one of the influential countries in the region, has consistently played a role in the political and economic developments of West Asia, and the United Nations has emphasized the importance of Iran’s active participation in international processes.
Each year, on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, numerous congratulatory messages are sent to Tehran by world leaders and international officials—reflecting the global community’s recognition of the historical and political significance of this event in the foreign relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
