Tehran- IRAF- Din Mohammad Hanif, the acting Minister of Economy, met and held talks with senior CRS officials. During the meeting, he urged the organization to expand its support to Afghanistan’s development initiatives in addition to humanitarian aid.
Project to Build Townships for Migrants
The Taliban’s Minister of Economy announced plans by the ministry to construct 25 townships for the settlement of migrants. According to him, these townships will require access to safe drinking water, hospitals, schools, and other essential facilities, and he called on international organizations to increase their cooperation in this regard.
Continuation of Catholic Relief Services’ Ongoing Activities
Officials from Catholic Relief Services (CRS), during the meeting, provided information about the organization’s humanitarian activities in the fields of agriculture, livestock farming, cash assistance, and support for small businesses in the provinces of Balkh and Kunduz.
Welcoming the Expansion of Activities
Hanif welcomed the expansion of this international organization’s activities in Afghanistan and announced cooperation with the organization.
