Tehran- IRAF- Quoting Israel Hayom, despite the clear superiority of the U.S. Navy in the region, Iran continues to threaten the American fleet.
The report goes on to mention a billboard in Tehran featuring an image of a destroyed American aircraft carrier and the airing of threatening videos by Iranian domestic media.
Based on this report, in the recent Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) exercise in the Oman Sea, various cruise and ballistic missiles were fired at simulated targets, and it was claimed that all targets were hit accurately.
A Historic Achievement
The report emphasizes that any scenario that leads to the targeting of an American aircraft carrier would be recorded as a historic achievement for Iran, as no American aircraft carrier has been sunk in military engagements in the past 80 years.
According to this analysis, even a limited hit that causes disruption to the operations of these carriers could become an important and powerful propaganda tool for Iran.
Iranian Drones: A Serious Threat to U.S. Navy Assets
Meanwhile, Fox News, in an analysis, pointed out the vulnerabilities of the U.S. Navy and reported that simultaneous, large-scale attacks by Iranian drones could pose a serious threat to valuable U.S. Navy assets, including the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln.
Additionally, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) expressed concern about the IRGC’s naval drills with live ammunition on the verge of being conducted and called on Iran to stop its “unsafe and unprofessional” actions. This warning was issued as the U.S. military presence in the region and the transfer of advanced weaponry have pushed tensions to a new level.
The Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, one of the main pillars of the U.S. Navy, is a vessel with a displacement of over 100,000 tons, nearly the size of a small floating city, with a nuclear heart that allows it to remain at sea for years without refueling. This ship epitomizes the concept of “power without interruption” with four catapults for launching aircraft, a deck full of fighter jets, layered defense systems, and accompanied by several cruisers and destroyers designed to establish air, sea, and psychological superiority.
