Taliban and Pakistan Discuss Electricity, Investment, and Private Sector Support

Tehran- IRAF- Hamkar, on Saturday (January 31), held a meeting at his office with officials from the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and a group of Afghan traders.

The meeting discussed topics related to electricity development, investment, and cooperation between the public and private sectors.

Hamkar emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in electricity development projects, stating: “Afghanistan has vast capacities in the electricity sector, and with joint efforts, we can take effective steps towards self-sufficiency.”

Support from the Chamber of Commerce

Meanwhile, Khan Jan Alkozai, head of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, and Afghan traders praised Breshna’s efforts to develop the electricity sector and create investment opportunities. They announced that the Chamber of Commerce will support the electricity generation, transmission, and distribution sectors.
