Tehran- IRAF- Atwan wrote in a note that the recent military movements and threats from the US against Iran are part of Washington’s psychological war to pressure Iran into negotiations, which would mean surrendering to US demands, including permanent cessation of enrichment and abandoning missile capabilities. However, these threats, like in the past, will have no effect.
He pointed out that the deployment of US aircraft carriers to the region is an outdated and ineffective tactic against independent powers like Iran. Iran has made significant strides in self-sufficiency in defense, achieving great successes in developing advanced missiles, drones, and submarines.
Atwan emphasized that Iran does not seek war but will respond with all its might to any US aggression or attack by the Zionist regime. Iran’s main weapon is its “long breath” and readiness for a prolonged and extensive war, which contradicts the US new military doctrine that seeks “fast, short, and clean” conflicts.
He referred to recent statements by Iranian military officials, including Commander of the Iranian Army Amir Hatami, who announced the addition of over 1,000 new drones to target American ships.
Atwan noted that Iran will not be alone in such a war, as its regional allies, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Ansarollah in Yemen, and Iraqi resistance groups, have declared their readiness to stand alongside Iran. These forces have warned that they will not remain neutral in the event of war and will target American and Zionist targets in the region.
Atwan added that Iran is prepared for any scenario and will be the one to determine the end of the war, as it is currently in its strongest period, and the cost of surrender is much heavier than the cost of resistance.
He warned that the US may start a war for the security of the Zionist regime, but its consequences will affect all Arab countries hosting American bases, from Bahrain and Qatar to the UAE and Kuwait.
Atwan recommended that Arab countries follow Saudi Arabia’s intelligent stance, which will not allow its skies or soil to be used for an attack on Iran, and avoid becoming a battleground.
He predicted that there is a possibility that Trump may back down at the last minute from attacking Iran, not out of personal fear, but due to fear of the devastating consequences.
He added that even the Zionist regime may encourage the US to delay the attack, fearing Iran’s powerful response.
Atwan concluded that Trump is now awaiting a phone call from Tehran or mediators like Erdogan to announce that Iran is ready for negotiations, on its own terms, which include stopping threats and returning US ships to their bases.
