Tehran- IRAF- Following the completion of the group stage matches of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, the teams advancing to Group 1 of the top 6 stage of the 2026 Under-19 Cricket World Cup were determined.
Based on the tournament rules, the top three teams from each group (first, second, and third) advance to the top 6 stage, totaling twelve teams, while the four teams that finish at the bottom of the four groups are eliminated from further competition.
The Afghan team, in Group 4 of the tournament, secured three consecutive wins against South Africa, West Indies, and Tanzania, earning six points and advancing as the group winner to the next round (top 6 stage).
In the top 6 stage, teams are divided into two groups of six teams each, and matches are played in a diagonal format. In Group 1, where the Afghan team is also competing, they will face Ireland and Sri Lanka in the next stage.
