Tehran- IRAF-The Iranian national futsal team arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, today (Saturday, January 24) to participate in the AFC Asian Futsal Championship.
Iran, which is currently ranked fifth in the FIFA world futsal rankings, will compete in the tournament as the defending champion.
Iran will play its first group‑stage match on January 27 against the Malaysia national futsal team. Iran has also been drawn in the same group as Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.
The 18th AFC Asian Futsal Championship is being hosted by Indonesia, and the Iranian national team is taking part in the competition with the aim of defending its title.
