Tehran-IRAF- Iran’s Consul General in Herat, emphasized in response to some claims that Afghan migrants residing in Iran have played no role in the recent protests.
Referring to the spread of rumors in this regard, he said: “These allegations are part of targeted foreign propaganda aimed at harming the friendly and historic relations between the two nations of Iran and Afghanistan.”
Marhamati added: “The overwhelming majority of Afghan migrants in Iran are engaged in legal and livelihood‑related activities and have always acted within the framework of the laws of the host country.”
He further noted: “Facts on the ground attest to this reality, and raising such accusations cannot affect these facts.”
