Tehran- IRAF- The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced on Tuesday, January 20, that a trade delegation of 50 Afghan merchants, led by Ahmadullah Zahed, Deputy Minister of the Ministry, has traveled to Bangladesh.
The ministry said in a statement that the delegation will meet with Bangladeshi officials to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral trade cooperation.
The ministry emphasized that; such trips play a significant role in economic growth, trade development, and strengthening Afghanistan’s economy.
The purpose of this trip is to discuss expanding trade relations, facilitating exports and imports, and exploring investment opportunities.
This trip comes as Afghan diplomat Noor Ahmad Noor, currently serving as chargé d’affaires at the Afghan embassy in Delhi, visited Bangladesh on a one-week trip in early January to expand trade relations.
