Pezeshkian, Shehbaz Sharif in Phone Conversation: Foiling Enemy Plots with Massive Iran Participation

According to IRAF, citing ISNA, President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday evening, January 29, in a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, emphasized the importance of bilateral relations and regional developments.

Pezeshkian expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s constant support and explained the recent events in Iran, stating that the unrest was an attempt by the United States and the Zionist regime to disrupt the path of internal unity and development of relations with neighbors.

He emphasized that the widespread and historic participation of the Iranian people in condemning these “trained rioters” has foiled the enemies’ plans, and today’s Iran continues its path with greater strength.

The President also appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional efforts to reduce tensions and expressed hope that the role of Islamic countries such as Pakistan, Iraq, Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia would render the enemies’ plots against regional security ineffective.

In response, Shahbaz Sharif expressed the solidarity of the Pakistani government and people with Iran, emphasizing the importance of the Islamic Republic of Iran as a key regional neighbor and player. He stated that, Pakistan has always stood alongside Iran and announced its full readiness to participate in reducing tensions and resolving regional issues.

Sharif added that he is confident that the Iranian nation, under its wise leadership, will successfully overcome the current challenges.
