Soleimani Stood with the Afghan People in the Hardest Times

According to Iraf News Agency, Hojjatollah Seyyed Javad Vahidi, the head of cultural and social foundation of Afghans residing in Iran, said in an exclusive interview with IRAF that Martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani was not merely an individual, but a school of thought, adding that he remains alive in the hearts of millions of people.

The Islamic Revolution and the Logic of Supporting the Oppressed

Vahidi stated that, Iran’s Islamic Revolution was a revolution of the oppressed against the oppressors, a principle explicitly emphasized in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Supporting the oppressed, he said, is a foundational principle, and those raised within the school of the Islamic Revolution consider such support as their duty.

He added, quoting Martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah, that Americans encountered Soleimani in Iraq, in Syria, in Yemen, and in Afghanistan as well. This indicates that, Martyr Soleimani had become a symbol of resistance against U.S. expansionism in the region.

Soleimani’s Essential Role in Afghanistan

The head of the foundation noted that; during a period when Iran itself was grappling with internal challenges such as terrorist attacks by opposition groups, it did not abandon Afghan fighters and continued to support them. He said; the Quds Force played an active role in this regard, and under the command of Martyr Soleimani, this support entered a new phase.

Vahidi added that; Martyr Soleimani stood alongside the Afghan people during the most critical moments in the country’s history, stressing that his presence was not limited to military affairs but extended to reconstruction and development efforts as well.

He added that; the construction of one of Afghanistan’s most strategic roads—the Dogharoon–Herat route—was implemented following Soleimani’s proposal and follow-up. He also pointed to the construction of a major hospital in Bamyan as another initiative carried out with Soleimani’s direct involvement. These actions, Vahidi said, reflect Soleimani’s comprehensive vision of regional issues and his multidimensional approach to supporting the oppressed.

Palestine: A Living Proof to the School of Resistance

Referring to what he described as a miscalculation by the United States and Israel in assassinating Soleimani, Vahidi said; Americans had repeatedly heard Soleimani’s declare, “I am your opponent,” and viewed him as the main obstacle to their ambitions in the region. They believed that eliminating him would allow them to act freely, he said, but failed to realize that resistance is a school of thought.

Vahidi added that Palestine today stands as the clearest living proof of this reality. Despite years of relentless efforts by Israel and its supporters to crush the resistance—ranging from the killing of women and children to the bombing of hospitals and infrastructure, resistance remains alive.

He continued that despite these crimes, resistance groups such as Hamas remain resilient and capable of posing a threat, stressing that physical elimination does not mark the end of resistance but rather the beginning of a new phase. From the ashes, he said, new generations rise to confront oppression—an idea central to the school of thought embraced by Haj Qassem Soleiman

Soleimani’s Special View of Migrants

Vahidi highlighted Soleimani’s distinctive and strategic perspective on migrants, saying he did not view them as a threat but rather as a capacity and an opportunity.

He added that, Martyr Soleimani was the first major figure to adopt a comprehensive approach to migrant issues, believing that all their needs must be addressed. According to Vahidi, Soleimani consistently took the initiative in resolving migrants’ problems, a commitment clearly reflected in his actions.

He further noted that migrants, in turn, demonstrated their deep affection and loyalty to Soleimani at critical moments, pointing to their strong presence at his funeral and anniversary commemorations as clear evidence of this profound and mutual bond.

Loyalty, Martyrdom and the Enduring School of Resistance

Vahidi described Martyr Soleimani as a devout, revolutionary, loyal, humble, and duty-driven figure who never sought recognition or status, but rather viewed all his actions as a divine responsibility.

He added that, Soleimani repeatedly emphasized loyalty to religious leadership, considering obedience to the Supreme Leader during the era of occultation as obedience to divine authority. Alongside military discipline, Vahidi said, Soleimani had a deep understanding of cultural, social, and diplomatic affairs.

Vahidi said that; although the martyrdom of Haj Qassem Soleimani appeared to be a great loss, the blood of Soleimani and other martyrs of the resistance has revitalized Islam. “Soleimani is alive,” he said, “because he is a school of thought, and this school has taken root in the hearts of nations.
