Tehran-IRAF- Mohammad Akbari, Deputy Head of Afghanistan’s Shiite Ulama Council, on Sunday February 7, while congratulating the anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, stated that this historic event was the result of reliance on pure Islam and the unparalleled leadership of Imam Khomeini (God Rest His Soul).
He added that, unlike prevailing global movements, the Islamic Revolution was neither dependent on the West nor on the communist East; rather, it achieved victory through the iron will of the Muslim people of Iran and adherence to Islamic teachings.
Referring to the deep historical, cultural, and religious ties between Iran and Afghanistan, Akbari stressed the necessity of expanding friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Hope for the Revival of Islamic Civilization
The Deputy Head of Afghanistan’s Shiite Ulama Council expressed hope that strengthening interactions and cooperation between the two countries would be an effective step toward the revival of the brilliant Islamic civilization and the reinforcement of unity in the Islamic world.
Meanwhile, a group of scholars, clerics, and various segments of the Afghan people recently issued a statement addressed to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasizing their readiness to follow his guidance.
In this regard, the Deputy Head of the Shiite Ulama Council of Balkh Province stated that Muslims do not consider any form of disrespect or disregard toward the Leader of the Islamic Revolution acceptable and regard his position as important and influential for the Islamic world.
