Taliban Responds to Pakistan’s Allegations: “An Attempt to Justify Security Failures”

Tehran- IRAF- the Taliban Ministry of National Defense, in a statement issued on Saturday (February 7), strongly denied the recent remarks by Pakistan’s Defense Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who attributed the terrorist attack on a mosque in Islamabad to Afghanistan. The statement described these remarks as “irresponsible, baseless, and completely devoid of logic.”

The ministry emphasized that such claims cannot conceal Pakistan’s security shortcomings nor solve its internal problems.

Reaffirming its rejection of terrorism, the ministry stated that the Taliban never considers the killing or harming of innocent people for political purposes permissible, and does not support those who commit such unlawful acts.

The Taliban’s Ministry of National Defense called on Pakistan’s security officials to assume responsibility for their own internal security failures and not mislead public opinion. It urged them to review their policies and pursue a spirit of constructive engagement and cooperation — both with their own people and with neighboring countries.
