Sri Lanka successfully chased a target of 194 runs in 46.5 overs, losing six wickets, while Afghanistan were restricted to 193 runs in 49.5 overs.
During the match, Osman Sadat delivered the best performance for Afghanistan, scoring 61 runs, while Azizollah Miakhil also played a key role with 43 runs, contributing significantly to the team’s total.
In the run chase, Senoya Wekunagoda was the backbone of Sri Lanka’s batting line‑up, scoring 43 runs off 79 balls. Despite the frequent fall of wickets, he kept the innings under control.
Although Afghanistan’s bowlers applied strong pressure in the final overs, Sri Lanka remained composed and reached the target with four wickets in hand, securing the victory.
