Tehran-IRAF- Citing the Afghan Voice, a gathering titled “Unity in Mourning for the Martyrs” was held by the Afghan Sunni migrant community in Iran, with the aim of declaring support and solidarity with the Iranian people and government. The event, which saw a large turnout from various segments of society and cultural, social, and political figures, took place at the Abul Fazl Mosque in Mashhad.
Speakers at the ceremony, pointing to the roots of terrorism and insecurity in the region, which they attributed to arrogant and interventionist powers, emphasized that enemies of the Islamic Ummah seek to undermine security, stability, and peaceful coexistence among nations through violence and chaos. However, they stressed that these plots will be thwarted by the vigilance of the people.
The event also highlighted the deep religious, cultural, and historical ties between the people of Afghanistan and Iran. Afghan migrants expressed their condolences to the families of the martyrs of the recent incidents and declared their firm support for the people, government, and leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In conclusion, speakers called for a serious and comprehensive confrontation with terrorist currents and their imperialist supporters, particularly the global bully America and its accomplice, the depraved and child-killing Zionist regime, at the regional and global levels.
