Netanyahu’s Withdrawal from Davos Meeting; Fear of International Criminal Court Arrest Warrant Implementation

Tehran- IRAF-The Haaretz newspaper reported that the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime, in December 2024, on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and using hunger as a weapon against the people of Gaza. The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime has withdrawn from attending the Gaza Peace Council meeting in Davos, Switzerland, due to fear of the arrest warrant being executed.

Accepting Trump’s invitation to join the Gaza Peace Council

This comes as the office of the Israeli Prime Minister announced on Wednesday that Netanyahu has accepted an invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the Gaza Peace Council. Trump had previously invited dozens of countries and parties to join this council. According to the relevant documents, the council will initially focus on Gaza issues and then expand to other global disputes, with Trump permanently chairing the council. The membership of countries is initially for three years, and for permanent membership, a payment of one billion dollars is envisaged. The ceremony for the signing of the establishment of this council is set to be held simultaneously with the World Economic Forum in Davos. However, according to reports, some governments have shown a cautious reaction to this invitation, and diplomats are concerned about the impact of this program on the performance of the United Nations.
